Corporate Training Manager

Job Description:

The Corporate Trainer is responsible for planning and delivering a professional, organized, informative training program in a friendly atmosphere for PizzaRev Franchisees and employees. The performance of the Corporate Trainer will be measured primarily by the degree of preparedness of new Franchisees to open their restaurants and develop within PizzaRev’s management systems and procedures. As a representative of PizzaRev you will conduct yourself in a professional manner throughout your entire deployment time which includes your conduct during travel time.

Job Functions & Duties

  • Travel to new restaurant site and implement a Training/Grand Opening program.
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment.
  • Must be a leader that sets the standard and expectations through example in his/her conduct, work ethic, integrity and character.
  • Able to deliver, project and motivate Franchisees through effective training methodologies both in a group and individual setting at the new store site.
  • Identifies to corporate management, those Franchisees who are not fulfilling requirements.
  • Validate standard operating procedures are intact to maintain the highest level of quality at the new store site.
  • Streamline the opening process of new restaurants by removing redundancies, technological obstacles, and improve cost-efficiency and communication for Franchisee.
  • Insures that all Franchisees understand PizzaRev’s policies, procedures and success factors.
  • Develops and defines with corporate management course objectives and lesson plans to accomplish objectives for all training sessions.
  • Plan and deliver live training sessions to Franchisees for their new store opening which includes travel to the specific store location prior to and during the grand opening week.
  • Utilize a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs.

District Manager – Los Angeles

Job Description:

District Manager shall be assigned to oversee the operations of a specified Territory. The District Manager is responsible for management of all operations and General Managers at the restaurants issued in his/her district. Reporting shall be submitted on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to the Chief Operations Officer, VP of Franchise Operations and VP of Human Resources.

Requirements:

  • Staffs, trains, and continually develops and coaches managers in assigned units. Ensuring all General Managers whom are a direct report are continuing developing their staff, while the DM focuses to develop the GM, GMIT, Supervisor, etc.
  • Advance Company Culture of developing high performers while maintain Operations standards of excellence.
  • Complies with company policies, practices and procedures, and communicates all changes to restaurant managers.
  • Serves as the liaison between the units and the corporate office to ensure communication and coordination.
  • Focuses on daily sales in every restaurant to identify opportunities and increase management awareness at the restaurant level.
  • Positively impacts Company operations in assigned units. Judgment exercised could considerably affect costs, profits, and/or customer/vendor relations.
  • Maintains cost of goods sold, labor costs and other costs such as laundry, uniforms, office, bar, kitchen and cleaning supplies at or below levels established for all units assigned.
  • Ensures accuracy and results on all units’ Profit and Loss Statements.

Franchise Business Consultant

Job Description:

  • Manage personal working relationship with Franchisees while remaining committed to the brand and corporate objectives.
  • Be able to provide guidance to Franchise personnel in all facets of the restaurant functions including revenue generation, cost controls, marketing, purchasing, and human resources development.
  • Support all quality systems of the company including secret shopper, operations evaluations, and training programs
  • Assist in the opening of Franchisee’s restaurants from plan review through grand opening, in an advisory and team implementation perspective.
  • Recognize and share the best practice procedures and ideas throughout the PizzaRev system.
  • Assist franchisee in growing the business by sharing development recommendations, seeking development opportunities and reviewing economic models.
  • Weekly communication and meetings with VP of Franchise Development on job related activities and developments. This includes weekly follow up with the Franchisee and their multi-unit operator/general managers.

Leadership

  • Builds trust and credibility with supervisor, peers, Franchise Partners and operators. Participates in round table discussions and workshops. Influences others, makes contributions, and supports group consensus.
  • Provides a clear understanding and vision of corporate standards and priorities to Franchisees and obtains results through influence.
  • Takes immediate and appropriate action to guide Franchisee in correcting substandard performance or conditions in troubled areas.
  • Manages pro-actively by making timely and sound decisions, and anticipating the impact of those decisions on the Company and the Franchisee.
  • Informs the Vice President of Franchise Development and peers of important issues and offers potential solutions.

Training and Development

  • Develop, coach and mentor Franchise Partners and operators. Assists in developing action plans.
  • Work through influence to ensure any action plans are incorporated into restaurant operations and followed up on.
  • Provide input to Training Department program development, and to training programs offered by other departments such as Human Resources or Finance.
  • Roll out new policies and procedures to Management. Ensure they are properly implemented. Follow up on the effectiveness of training or developmental programs through restaurant visits.

Staffing and Building Great Teams

  • Interview Director of Operations candidates if requested by Franchisee.
  • Support the Training Department in the restaurant certification process, as well as ensuring certified managers are running the restaurant.

Administration and Auditing

  • Participate in Franchise Business Consultant meetings and annual Franchise Partner conference.
  • Review Franchise Partner P&L’s. Work with Director of Operations to develop action plans to address cost control areas, while ensuring adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Review Restaurant Operational Reports/Restaurant Evaluations (ROR’s) with Franchise Partner and Operators, using them as a measurement of operations’ ability to execute against company standards and as a development tool.
