Though we’re sure everyone already has this on their calendars, PizzaRev is reminding everybody that it’s actually National Calzone Day, by introducing craft-your-own and meatball calzones nationwide, a news release said. The new items actually rolled out last month, but today’s their day in the sun, so to speak.
“Calzones wrap organic tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings in a piping hot, portable package that you can eat in the restaurant or take on the road,” CMO Renae Scott said in the release. “Just like with PizzaRev pizzas, guests can watch us craft their calzone in the restaurant or order online to pick up.”
PizzaRev calzones are brushed with olive oil, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and in the brand’s stone-bed ovens.
