Once you’ve redeemed your voucher, don’t throw it away just yet! There’s a plot twist. Each voucher is made from recycled paper and is embedded with basil seeds. Bring it home, plant it, water it, watch your basil grow!
Since not all of us have a green thumb, below are simple instructions to help bring your seed paper to life.

HOW TO PLANT YOUR SEED PAPER
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Water
- Soil
- A pot with drainage holes for planting (you can also plant your seed paper in a garden if you’d like!)
- A sunny spot
- (And of course) your $5 PizzaRev voucher
STEP 1 – PREPARE YOUR POT
Fill your pot 2/3 full with soil. Make sure the soil is firm but not packed to allow for proper drainage.
STEP 2 – PLANT THE PAPER
Thoroughly moisten the seed paper and place it on top of the prepared soil. Spread a ¼ inch layer of soil over the seed paper and press down gently.
STEP 3 – WATER DAILY
Keep the paper and soil moist at all times, especially during the first 10 days after planting. However, do not allow water to pool on top of the soil. This is a sign that the plant does not have proper drainage.
STEP 4 – ONGOING CARE
Once you see your plant beginning to sprout, continue to keep the paper moist. When the plant begins to show sturdy stems, water when surface soil is dry.
